Allen Kogan is a Partner at Alloy Technology Partners and founded the firm after 18+ years in Technology Investment Banking. Allen has completed dozens of capital raises, sell-side and buy-side M&A transactions, divestitures and strategic advisory mandates across multiple technology subsectors, including AI/ML, video, mobile software, internet, FinTech and vertical-specific SaaS. Allen delivers expert advice and results to his clients on account of his detailed, hands-on dealwork.
Prior to Alloy Technology Partners, Allen was a Director at GP Bullhound, a tech-focused mid-market investment bank. Before that, he was a Director at Alantra, where he helped coalesce and build out their Technology practice. Allen arrived at Alantra through its acquisition of Inertia Advisors, the boutique investment bank he founded with two partners in 2015. Prior to Inertia, Allen spent seven years at Mooreland Partners, a tech-focused investment bank, where he helped begin their Silicon Valley office. He got his start in Investment Banking at SVB Alliant as part of the Private Capital Group covering Tech and Life Science.
Allen’s family is originally from Ukraine, though he was born in California, so Allen speaks English and Russian fluently, as well as understands Spanish and Italian.
